10-Night Circle Cuba Voyage
This 10-night Azamara voyage to Cuba takes you virtually from end of the island to the other, and combines a day at sea, a day in the Cayman Islands, and an overnight stay in Cozumel, plus two overnight stays in Havana.
After departing from Miami and spending a day at sea to relax by the pool or get pampered in our Sanctum Spa, your first port of call is Santiago de Cuba, the birthplace of Castro’s revolution. Feel the vibrant culture bursting from this city’s Afro-Cuban heritage, and discover its rich colonial history, architecture, and lush parks that beg to be explored by foot or horse-drawn carriage.
Then it’s on to Cienfuegos, Cuba’s “Pearl of the South.” Cross the castle drawbridge and explore Castillo de Jagua, a 17th-century Spanish fortress. Or embrace the city’s warm tropical breezes as you take in stunning neoclassical, art nouveau, and art deco architecture.
Next it’s off to George Town, Grand Cayman Island, where you can browse local shops and enjoy unlimited duty-free shopping in the Cayman’s most cosmopolitan city. Sail, kayak, or snorkel and enjoy a couple of hours at Seven Mile Beach, one of the top beaches in the world.
Then it’s one to one of the premier dive sites and sport-fishing destinations in the Western hemisphere: Cozumel. With an overnight-stay here, you can do everything from water sports, shopping, and trying local dishes like sopa de lima (chicken soup with lime) and ensalada de nopales (cactus salad) to day trips to the great Mayan ruins of Tulum or Chichen Itza, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a Wonder of the World.
Finally, get ready for two nights in the Cuban capital of Havana. See where old meets new. Stroll past brightly hued 16th-century buildings, visit the historic neighborhood of Vieja Habana (Old Havana), walk the Malecón, and get to know local producers and farmers at the Almacenes San José Artisan’s Market. And be prepared to dance the night away at one of Havana’s legendary salsa clubs.
